Shared Green Societies Festival of Practice
Hauptgebäude, 1. Stock
Karlsplatz 13
1040 Wien
Celebrating connections between SSH research and on-the-ground sustainability action
12–13 January 2027, TU Wien, Vienna
Researchers and practitioners meet in Vienna for one and a half days of dialogue and workshops on how local action and the Social Sciences and Humanities can contribute to getting the green transition implemented in communities across Europe.
The programme is built around participatory formats, with sessions focused on engagement and active contribution from everyone in the room, and with numbers limited to one hundred so that exchange goes in both directions while still providing important networking opportunities on the topic of local actions, SSH and experiments in support of the green transition.
The Festival marks the first year of the Shared Green Societies Forum, launched in Brussels in January 2026. Sessions are co-hosted by Members and Champions of the Forum, including TU Wien, Anglia Ruskin University, DRIFT, Energy Cities, ALDA, AIT and ICLEI.
The event runs from 13.00 on Tuesday 12 January to 16.00 on Wednesday 13 January. Attendance is free, places are limited, and registration is open at sharedgreensocieties.eu/register with more information available in this Event Brief.
